Qatar Digital Incubation Center: Tech Trends Event

Arishi Founder and Managing Director, Andrew Elia presented yesterday to the Qatar business community on technology trends for 2022.

With so many exciting technologies on the horizon, Andrew chose to focus on three areas in which Arishi has a deep level of expertise: XR (Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality), Artificial Intelligence and Technical Due Diligence.

As the first company in the UK to deliver AR experiences, Arishi is now working on fascinating and ground breaking VR projects and exploring the practical benefits on Mixed Reality for businesses and public sector organisations. Andrew gave a clear description of how each of these technologies works and the best ways to use them, explaining the differences between, for example, degrees of freedom in Virtual Reality. He gave an open assessment of the opportunities and limitations of current technology and how it can be leveraged in training, simulation and exploring remote, historical or otherwise unsafe environments.

Andrew’s discussion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was designed to help Qatari organisations understand the potential applications of the technology with clarity and he cited Arishi’s experience of building successful, explainable AI solutions for clients.

Lastly, Andrew delved into the benefits of Technical Due Diligence for businesses wishing to acquire technology start-ups, explaining how the quality of code, the expertise of staff and internal processes can be audited in the same way as finances and legal agreements are scrutinised prior to acquisition.
